Grevillea robusta and printmaking

This is the grevillea, grown from tube stock, that has given me somewhere to sit and contemplate life, rest after an afternoon of hard slog, share conversations and talk about the future. Its leaves inspired a number of lino carvings and a woodblock print. It will live on in textiles long after the drought that threatens its existence ends.

I wrote about these precious fabrics and my little sister's obligation back in February. The shop owner's gift remains humbling and the precious pieces used only for special projects. Nothing wasted - not a thread.
