Another stunning afternoon working quietly on a few projects and preparing for exams in June. There is something wonderful and fulfilling about honouring the spaces we occupy. I think it is good for the soul and good for the place that offers protection, safety and security. A few hours spent moving the table to under the window. More light. Incredible views replaced a painted white wall. Now mountains fill my views. I can watch the seasons change. I can see how the world moves by where the sun sets each evening. Solstice approaches. Cattle fatten. Harvesters danced with slow moving trucks in distant paddocks, taking off silage and taking up beetroot. In a matter of hours the land transformed. Just like the studio. Back inside, it is peace-filled without the clutter. I had effectively reduced my work space to the unmanageable, bulging with unfinished thoughts and a disorganised mind.
